Is CBD legal?
Yes, CBD is legal in the United Kingdom, the United States and Europe. Although there are some minor restrictions on legality in certain places and states, it only depends on the % of THC the CBD possesses. This is due to the ‘high’ effect it can have on people and the authorities do not want a weaker version of cannabis to become legal.
As CBD contains practically no THC (0.3%) it makes it safe to use and be sold in the majority of places.
With THC being a controlled substance under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. It means that the CBD must be extracted from an industrial-grade hemp strain that’s been approved by the EU.
